Settings/configuration
The Wilo-Smart Connect Module BT can be set through the product with which it is operated. As soon as the Wilo-Smart Connect Module BT is plugged into the interface a further settings menu item appears in the display (if available).
NOTICE
Details of where the new menu can be found in the display are included in the installation and operating instructions for the respective product.
The following settings can be made via the menu:
- Bluetooth – ON/OFF
- The Wilo-Smart Connect Module BT Bluetooth signal can be switched on and off. If the signal is switched off, no connection to the module is possible.
- Connectable – ON/OFF
- Establishing a connection can be prevented if this feature is set to “OFF”. However, the module can be found by a Bluetooth search.
- Dynamic PIN – ON/OFF
- A connection from a mobile terminal for controlling the product requires a PIN to be entered for authentication.
- ON:
- A new PIN is always dynamically generated and shown in the product display each time a connection is established.
- OFF:
- Each time a connection is established, the last four digits of the Wilo-Smart Connect Module BT S/N number are used as the PIN.
The S/N number is printed on the Wilo-Smart Connect Module BT rating plate. This is called a “static PIN”.
Fig. 1 shows the rating plate on a Smart Connect Module BT. The “static PIN” for the module in this example is 6789.
Changes to settings are saved in the Wilo-Smart Connect Module BT, not in the product.
