Installation hints

General

The driver consists of two parts: one for the basic USB device and another for the specific IR-Stick. If you install the driver package manually, it may happen that a yellow question mark is still present in the device manager. In this case repeat driver installation for that device.

Windows XP

When installing the software with Windows XP, the install routine copies the driver files to the appropriate directories. When you insert the IR-Stick for the first time after installation, the assistant for new hardware appears. Choose for no connection to Windows update and for automatic installation. This dialog sequence may appear a second time before finishing correctly.
